Format - before using a new CD - R/CD-RW, formatting is a must. Formatting is process that writes the file system on the disc to be used as random read and write device. The whole process can take around 20 minutes or an hour.

Size (2X/4X) - the standard data for measuring the speed of the drive. The multiple unit of X means that the drive can read at 150KB/x. |
